Two overlapping circles (one per winding) on the single-line diagram, with the rating and vector group written beside them.
Meaning
Power or distribution transformer, e.g. 11/0.69 kV. Becomes transformer. ANSI drawings show two facing coils instead.
Variants
- A diagonal arrow through the circles = on-load tap changer
- Winding symbols (Δ, Y, Yn) may be drawn inside the circles
