ISA 5.1-2009/2022 (general instrument and function symbols)
Drawn as
A hexagon (pointed left and right), with a horizontal line across when operator-accessible.
Meaning
A function on a separate computer (supervisory or optimisation system, advanced process control, flow computer software, historian calculation). Not modelled.
Variants
- A hexagon with only a number and no letters is a note marker, not a computer function
- Flow computers on metering skids are often drawn this way, with FQ
