Drawn as
A small square drawn beside a bubble (usually a Y relay or compute bubble) containing a math or conversion symbol: √, Σ, ×, ÷, I/P, f(x), >, <.
Meaning
What the Y function does: square-root extraction (√), totalising (Σ), high or low select (> <), conversion (I/P). Not physical.
