Line crossing (no connection)
ISO 10628-2 (group 25) / PIP PIC001 (line conventions)
Drawn as
Two lines crossing, with one broken (a small gap either side of the other line), or with a small hop (semicircle) over it.
Meaning
The lines cross on paper only and are not connected. Don't make a tee here.
Variants
- Convention: the vertical line is usually the one broken
- Older drawings use a hop (semicircle)
- A plain cross with no dot is ambiguous: treat it as no connection unless there is a dot
Not physical hardware. Read it, then skip it in the 3D model.
