Vibrating fork level switch
ISA 5.1-2009/2022 (primary element symbols) / PIP PIC001
Drawn as
A short side nozzle into the vessel with two small prongs (the fork) inside, and an LS bubble (LSH, LSHH…) outside.
Meaning
Point level switch for high or low alarms and trips, independent of the transmitter. Becomes level-switch.
Variants
- Many legends draw just the LSHH bubble on the vessel without the fork
- Capacitance and float switches use the same bubble letters
