Insulation mark

ISO 10628-2 (group 25) / PIP PIC001 (line conventions)

A process line with thin dashed lines running parallel above and below it over the insulated length.
Meaning
The line is insulated (heat conservation, personnel protection or cold). Most drawings show it only as the insulation code at the end of the line number, e.g. "-H" or "-PP". Set the line as insulated.
Variants
  • Insulation codes: H heat conservation, C cold, PP personnel protection, AC acoustic, N none
  • Some legends hatch a short stretch of the line instead
