Electric heat tracing mark
ISO 10628-2 (group 25) / PIP PIC001 (line conventions)
Drawn as
A process line with a thin zig-zag (resistor-like) line running beside it, marked "ET".
Meaning
Electrically traced line to stop freezing, waxing or hydrates. A tracing circuit and controller exist. Shown in the insulation code as "ET". Note it on the line; it is not modelled as geometry.
Variants
- Many legends draw a plain dashed line alongside with "ET"
- Self-regulating vs constant-wattage cable is only on the heat-tracing isometrics
