Note reference
PIP PIC001 / ISO 10628-1 (diagram rules) / company legend practice
Drawn as
A number inside a small hexagon (or a flag or box) with a leader to the item; the note itself is in the notes block.
Meaning
Points to a drawing note: slopes, no pockets, vendor scope, minimum distances or hold items. Read the note; it often explains things the symbols cannot.
Variants
- Some companies use a flag or a circle; a hexagon with a number only is a note, while an ISA computer-function hexagon has tag letters
Not physical hardware. Read it, then skip it in the 3D model.
