Off-page connector, outgoing P&ID symbol

Off-page connector, outgoing

PIP PIC001 / ISO 10628-1 (diagram rules) / company legend practice
Drawn as
The line ends at the flat side of a pentagon (an arrow-shaped box) that points away in the flow direction. The destination drawing number and the service or equipment, e.g. "TO PID-102 / V-2100", are written inside or beside it (left blank here).
Meaning
The line continues on another sheet. If that sheet is in the job, join the two halves into one line (same line number). Otherwise end the line at a battery limit in plant.json ({ at, label: "TO …" }).
Variants
  • Some legends use an arrow with the text above, or a rectangle with an arrowhead
  • Instrument signals use smaller connectors, often a circle with a letter or a hexagon
Not physical hardware. Read it, then skip it in the 3D model.
