A circle with the suction at the centre of one side and the discharge leaving tangentially from the top, standing on a small base. Often a small triangle inside points towards the discharge (drawn here).

Meaning

Horizontal centrifugal pump: the default process and utility pump. Becomes centrifugal-pump (API 610 OH2); use between-bearings-pump for multistage BB units and vertical-inline-pump for OH3 when the datasheet says so.

Variants

Some legends omit the inner triangle; ISO-style legends may draw a "V" from the suction side instead
The driver (M) may be drawn joined by a shaft line
Spared pumps A/B are drawn twice
