Threaded union, used on small-bore lines (instrument air, chemical injection, tubing) to allow disconnection. No dedicated component.
Variants
- Legends differ: some show "||" with a small gap, others write "U"
- Hammer (wing) unions on well-test and temporary lines become hammer-union; threaded small-bore unions are part of small-bore-fitting work
