Angle valve
ISO 10628-2 (group 21, valves) / PIP PIC001
Drawn as
Two triangles at right angles: one pointing in from the side (inlet) and one pointing up from below (outlet), tips meeting, with a stem and handwheel on top.
Meaning
Globe-type valve whose outlet is at 90° to the inlet. Common for drains, chokes and blowdown. A spring on top makes it a relief valve, not an angle valve.
Variants
- A dot at the tips makes it an angle globe valve
- With an actuator it is an angle control valve
- With a spring or a pilot box it is a PSV (see relief)
