Meaning
Quarter-turn isolation valve: full-bore isolation, pigging lines, ESD and on/off duty when actuated. Small sizes have a lever, large ones a gear.
Variants
- Full-bore vs reduced-bore is usually written as FB / RB next to the symbol
- Trunnion vs floating is not shown, only on the valve datasheet
- Look-alikes: filled dot = globe valve, small rectangle = plug valve
