A small channel and tube bundle at one end, with the shell swelling into a much larger diameter over the bundle (a kettle), a weir plate at the far end, and a vapour outlet on top.

Meaning

Kettle (TEMA K) reboiler or vaporiser: liquid boils around the bundle, vapour leaves the top and liquid spills over the weir. Glycol regeneration, propane chillers. Map to shell-and-tube-exchanger and note the kettle shell.
