Progressive cavity pump

A long horizontal casing with a single sine-shaped rotor inside, suction at one end on top and discharge at the other end, often with a motor box.

Single-screw (Moineau) pump: sludge, oily water, drain sump and polymer duties. Becomes progressive-cavity-pump.
