Progressive cavity pump

Horizontal progressive cavity pump in the bearing-housing layout: helical gear motor and guarded coupling on a drain-rim baseplate, finned bearing housing with seal, suction housing with top inlet flange, bolted inspection cover and drain, elastomer-lined stator clamped by four tie rods with a mid support, and a discharge housing with an axial outlet flange. Stages set the stator length; nozzle sizes set the housings.

Installation

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add progressive-cavity-pump

Copies rotating/progressive-cavity-pump.tsx and the shared lib/ into src/components/deck-twin/. Needs three, @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. See installation for the manual route.

Usage

import { Canvas } from '@react-three/fiber'
import { OrbitControls } from '@react-three/drei'
import { Stage } from './components/deck-twin/lib/stage'
import { ProgressiveCavityPump } from './components/deck-twin/rotating/progressive-cavity-pump'

export default function Scene() {
  return (
    <Canvas shadows camera={{ position: [8, 5, 9], fov: 35 }}>
      <Stage>
        <ProgressiveCavityPump />
      </Stage>
      <OrbitControls makeDefault />
    </Canvas>
  )
}

P&ID

P&ID symbol for progressive-cavity-pump

Rotary pump outline (a long rounded casing or circle) with a helical rotor drawn as a wavy line inside, suction into the top of the suction housing and discharge out of the end; driver on the shaft.

tag PISO 10628-2 / PIP PIC001

Many legends use the general rotary PD pump symbol with "PC" or "progressive cavity" beside it. Used for viscous, sandy or shear-sensitive liquids (drains, sludge, crude transfer).

For agents

Machine-readable entry with props, ranges, defaults and ports:

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info progressive-cavity-pump

Or fetch /r/progressive-cavity-pump.json, or copy a ready-made instruction:

Add the Deck Twin "Progressive cavity pump" component to this project. Run `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add progressive-cavity-pump` (it copies the file and the shared lib into src/components/deck-twin/), then `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info progressive-cavity-pump` for its props, ranges and ports. Render <ProgressiveCavityPump /> inside a React Three Fiber <Canvas shadows>, wrapped in <Stage> from src/components/deck-twin/lib/stage. Set props from my data (metres, NPS in inches, ASME class) and leave the rest at defaults. Install three, @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei and @types/three if they're missing.
