Platform link bridge

Bridge-linked platform walkway: two Warren through-trusses (hollow CHS or HEB with bolted node gussets), IPE cross beams and channel stringers carrying bar grating, top cross struts with X laterals and walkway lights, bottom plan bracing, ISO 14122 handrails on both edges, outriggers with a ladder cable tray on +Z and a pipe shelf on −Z, a pinned bearing at −X and a guided PTFE / stainless sliding bearing at +X with a hinged transition flap over the expansion gap (it extends past x = +length/2 and rests 2 mm above y = 0 on the next deck). Walkway top at y = 0, spanning x = −length/2 … +length/2 along X; the bearing masonry plates sit about 0.5 m below the walkway at x = ±(length/2 − 0.25) and must rest on the platform steel.

Installation

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add bridge

Copies structure/bridge.tsx and the shared lib/ into src/components/deck-twin/. Needs three, @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. See installation for the manual route.

Usage

import { Canvas } from '@react-three/fiber'
import { OrbitControls } from '@react-three/drei'
import { Stage } from './components/deck-twin/lib/stage'
import { Bridge } from './components/deck-twin/structure/bridge'

export default function Scene() {
  return (
    <Canvas shadows camera={{ position: [8, 5, 9], fov: 35 }}>
      <Stage>
        <Bridge />
      </Stage>
      <OrbitControls makeDefault />
    </Canvas>
  )
}

P&ID

P&ID symbol for bridge

Elevation: two horizontal chords joined by a zig-zag Warren truss, with a pinned support (triangle) at one end and a sliding support (roller circle) at the other; in plan, two parallel lines between the platform outlines labelled with the bridge name.

Layout plan convention (structural / plot plan drawings) (structural elevation)

On P&IDs a bridge appears only as off-page arrows "via bridge to RP" on lines that cross it. The sliding end is what lets the platforms move relative to each other.

For agents

Machine-readable entry with props, ranges, defaults and ports:

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info bridge

Or fetch /r/bridge.json, or copy a ready-made instruction:

Add the Deck Twin "Platform link bridge" component to this project. Run `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add bridge` (it copies the file and the shared lib into src/components/deck-twin/), then `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info bridge` for its props, ranges and ports. Render <Bridge /> inside a React Three Fiber <Canvas shadows>, wrapped in <Stage> from src/components/deck-twin/lib/stage. Set props from my data (metres, NPS in inches, ASME class) and leave the rest at defaults. Install three, @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei and @types/three if they're missing.
