Gate valve

Flanged RF gate valve with a flexible wedge, oval bolted bonnet, packing gland with gland studs, outside screw & yoke with a greased yoke sleeve, and a rising stem. Handwheel, or bevel gear with a stem protector. The bore is open right through; open lifts the wedge and stem through the full stroke. Face-to-face from ASME B16.10 for the selected class.

Installation

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add gate-valve

Copies valves/gate-valve.tsx and the shared lib/ into src/components/deck-twin/. Needs three, @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. See installation for the manual route.

Usage

import { Canvas } from '@react-three/fiber'
import { OrbitControls } from '@react-three/drei'
import { Stage } from './components/deck-twin/lib/stage'
import { GateValve } from './components/deck-twin/valves/gate-valve'

export default function Scene() {
  return (
    <Canvas shadows camera={{ position: [8, 5, 9], fov: 35 }}>
      <Stage>
        <GateValve />
      </Stage>
      <OrbitControls makeDefault />
    </Canvas>
  )
}

P&ID

P&ID symbol for gate-valve

Two triangles meeting at their points (bow-tie) across the line, unfilled. A short stem with a T on top marks the handwheel; a gear operator is sometimes drawn as a small box on the stem.

tag HVtag XV (manual)ISO 10628-2 / ISO 14617-8 / PIP PIC001

A filled dot at the centre means globe; a circle means ball; a bar through the centre means butterfly. A fully black bow-tie is the same valve normally closed (NC). LO / CSO / LC / CSC written beside it are locked or car-sealed positions, not a different valve.

For agents

Machine-readable entry with props, ranges, defaults and ports:

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info gate-valve

Or fetch /r/gate-valve.json, or copy a ready-made instruction:

Add the Deck Twin "Gate valve" component to this project. Run `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add gate-valve` (it copies the file and the shared lib into src/components/deck-twin/), then `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info gate-valve` for its props, ranges and ports. Render <GateValve /> inside a React Three Fiber <Canvas shadows>, wrapped in <Stage> from src/components/deck-twin/lib/stage. Set props from my data (metres, NPS in inches, ASME class) and leave the rest at defaults. Install three, @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei and @types/three if they're missing.
