Pig launcher / receiver

Pig trap for launching or receiving pigs: oversized major barrel, reducer (eccentric flat-bottom on launchers, concentric on receivers), minor barrel with pig signaller and a full-bore trap valve, clamp-ring quick-opening closure with pressure-warning screw and key interlock, kicker (launcher) or bypass (receiver) nozzle with valve, vent, drain, thermal-relief PSV and a balance line with valve to pressurise both sides of the pig, adjustable saddle supports. The barrel is one to two sizes over the line; closureOpen swings the door on its hinge. The service prop picks launcher or receiver (named so to avoid the reserved type).

Installation

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add pig-launcher

Copies wellhead/pig-launcher.tsx and the shared lib/ into src/components/deck-twin/. Needs three, @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. See installation for the manual route.

Usage

import { Canvas } from '@react-three/fiber'
import { OrbitControls } from '@react-three/drei'
import { Stage } from './components/deck-twin/lib/stage'
import { PigLauncher } from './components/deck-twin/wellhead/pig-launcher'

export default function Scene() {
  return (
    <Canvas shadows camera={{ position: [8, 5, 9], fov: 35 }}>
      <Stage>
        <PigLauncher />
      </Stage>
      <OrbitControls makeDefault />
    </Canvas>
  )
}

P&ID

P&ID symbol for pig-launcher

An oversized barrel with a quick-opening closure (thick bar) at one end, a reducer to the pipeline size, the trap (isolation) valve on the pipeline, and a kicker (or bypass) line from the barrel round the trap valve; a pig signaller (XI / ZS) on the line. Receivers are drawn the same way, mirrored.

The closure plus reducer plus kicker line is unmistakable. A plain horizontal capsule is a vessel. Launcher or receiver is decided by flow direction.

For agents

Machine-readable entry with props, ranges, defaults and ports:

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info pig-launcher

Or fetch /r/pig-launcher.json, or copy a ready-made instruction:

Add the Deck Twin "Pig launcher / receiver" component to this project. Run `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add pig-launcher` (it copies the file and the shared lib into src/components/deck-twin/), then `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info pig-launcher` for its props, ranges and ports. Render <PigLauncher /> inside a React Three Fiber <Canvas shadows>, wrapped in <Stage> from src/components/deck-twin/lib/stage. Set props from my data (metres, NPS in inches, ASME class) and leave the rest at defaults. Install three, @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei and @types/three if they're missing.
