ISO shipping container

ISO 668 series 1 freight container in 10, 20, 40 ft or 40 ft high-cube: trapezoidal corrugated side, end and roof panels, ISO 1161 corner castings with apertures, corner posts and rails, a door end with two corrugated leaves, four locking bars with cam keepers, handles and hinges, CSC plate and ISO 6346 marking. 10 and 20 ft units get forklift pockets; side walls carry labyrinth vents and the leaves have EPDM gaskets. doorsOpen swings the leaves back 250° to show the plywood-floored interior; the CSC plate is on the left leaf. The optional offshore lifting set adds padeyes, shackles and a 4-leg sling to a master link. Length runs along X with the doors at +X.

Parameters

Installation

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add shipping-container

Copies lifting/shipping-container.tsx and the shared lib/ into src/components/deck-twin/. Needs three, @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. See installation for the manual route.

Usage

import { Canvas } from '@react-three/fiber'
import { OrbitControls } from '@react-three/drei'
import { Stage } from './components/deck-twin/lib/stage'
import { ShippingContainer } from './components/deck-twin/lifting/shipping-container'

export default function Scene() {
  return (
    <Canvas shadows camera={{ position: [8, 5, 9], fov: 35 }}>
      <Stage>
        <ShippingContainer />
      </Stage>
      <OrbitControls makeDefault />
    </Canvas>
  )

P&ID

P&ID symbol for shipping-container

Plan view: a rectangle at the ISO footprint (10, 20 or 40 ft) in a laydown area, often with a diagonal cross meaning "laydown / temporary", the door end marked by a thicker line, and its size written inside.

Layout plan convention (lifting / materials-handling study)

Laydown areas are rectangles with a cross or hatch; a container is one sized like an ISO box. Baskets are open and smaller; tote tanks are near-square.

For agents

Machine-readable entry with props, ranges, defaults and ports:

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info shipping-container

Or fetch /r/shipping-container.json, or copy a ready-made instruction:

Add the Deck Twin "ISO shipping container" component to this project. Run `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add shipping-container` (it copies the file and the shared lib into src/components/deck-twin/), then `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info shipping-container` for its props, ranges and ports. Render <ShippingContainer /> inside a React Three Fiber <Canvas shadows>, wrapped in <Stage> from src/components/deck-twin/lib/stage. Set props from my data (metres, NPS in inches, ASME class) and leave the rest at defaults. Install three, @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei and @types/three if they're missing.
