Variable frequency drive

Air-cooled VFD line-up: control section with keypad, lamps, E-stop and start / stop, input (isolation) section, power sections set by kW, and an output / bypass section. Louvred door intakes, roof extract fans with guards (spinning), top cable boxes with glands for the supply and motor cables, hinges, quarter-turn locks, warning label, earth boss and tag plate. LV and MV (kV > 1) cabinet sizes differ.

Installation

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add vfd-cabinet

Copies electrical/vfd-cabinet.tsx and the shared lib/ into src/components/deck-twin/. Needs three, @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. See installation for the manual route.

Usage

import { Canvas } from '@react-three/fiber'
import { OrbitControls } from '@react-three/drei'
import { Stage } from './components/deck-twin/lib/stage'
import { VfdCabinet } from './components/deck-twin/electrical/vfd-cabinet'

export default function Scene() {
  return (
    <Canvas shadows camera={{ position: [8, 5, 9], fov: 35 }}>
      <Stage>
        <VfdCabinet />
      </Stage>
      <OrbitControls makeDefault />
    </Canvas>
  )
}

P&ID

P&ID symbol for vfd-cabinet

IEC converter square with a diagonal and ~ on both sides (frequency converter), in the feeder to a motor (circle with M). On P&IDs the motor may carry an SC or VSD note, and the speed signal is an SC / SIC loop.

~ / ~ = frequency converter (VFD); ~ / = = rectifier; = / ~ = inverter. Soft starters are drawn as a box with a different note.

For agents

Machine-readable entry with props, ranges, defaults and ports:

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info vfd-cabinet

Or fetch /r/vfd-cabinet.json, or copy a ready-made instruction:

Add the Deck Twin "Variable frequency drive" component to this project. Run `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add vfd-cabinet` (it copies the file and the shared lib into src/components/deck-twin/), then `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info vfd-cabinet` for its props, ranges and ports. Render <VfdCabinet /> inside a React Three Fiber <Canvas shadows>, wrapped in <Stage> from src/components/deck-twin/lib/stage. Set props from my data (metres, NPS in inches, ASME class) and leave the rest at defaults. Install three, @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei and @types/three if they're missing.
