Diesel generator set (emergency / standby)

Turbocharged diesel generator set on a double-wall sub-base day tank: inline-6 or V12/V16/V20 engine with rocker covers, insulated exhaust manifolds, turbochargers and air cleaners, flywheel housing with starters, alternator with terminal box, front radiator with pusher fan, anti-vibration isolators, closed crankcase ventilation filter, batteries and controller. Exhaust rises through bellows to a silencer with a flanged outlet. enclosure puts it in an ISO 20 ft / 40 ft high-cube container with corrugated walls, sand-trap intake louvres with damper actuators, radiator discharge louvre, opening side doors, clean-agent fire suppression and the silencer on the roof. Engine, alternator and radiator size with kw.

Installation

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add diesel-generator

Copies rotating/diesel-generator.tsx and the shared lib/ into src/components/deck-twin/. Needs three, @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. See installation for the manual route.

Usage

import { Canvas } from '@react-three/fiber'
import { OrbitControls } from '@react-three/drei'
import { Stage } from './components/deck-twin/lib/stage'
import { DieselGenerator } from './components/deck-twin/rotating/diesel-generator'

export default function Scene() {
  return (
    <Canvas shadows camera={{ position: [8, 5, 9], fov: 35 }}>
      <Stage>
        <DieselGenerator />
      </Stage>
      <OrbitControls makeDefault />
    </Canvas>
  )
}

P&ID

P&ID symbol for diesel-generator

Rectangle for the diesel engine (marked D or DE) coupled to a circle with G and ~ for the alternator. On P&IDs it appears with its diesel (DF) supply line from a day tank and an exhaust line.

tag Gtag EDGtag DGIEC 60617 (generator) / layout and P&ID convention for the engine

G with a turbine trapezoid is a gas-turbine-generator. DE coupled to a pump is a diesel-firewater-pump.

For agents

Machine-readable entry with props, ranges, defaults and ports:

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info diesel-generator

Or fetch /r/diesel-generator.json, or copy a ready-made instruction:

Add the Deck Twin "Diesel generator set (emergency / standby)" component to this project. Run `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add diesel-generator` (it copies the file and the shared lib into src/components/deck-twin/), then `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info diesel-generator` for its props, ranges and ports. Render <DieselGenerator /> inside a React Three Fiber <Canvas shadows>, wrapped in <Stage> from src/components/deck-twin/lib/stage. Set props from my data (metres, NPS in inches, ASME class) and leave the rest at defaults. Install three, @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei and @types/three if they're missing.
