Fired heater (vertical cylindrical)

API 560 vertical-cylindrical process heater: radiant casing on legs with buckstays, stiffener rings, sight and access doors; upward-firing floor burners with windboxes, air registers, a fuel gas ring and a grade-level burner management panel; snuffing-steam ring, explosion doors, draft-gauge tappings; breeching, convection section with bolted header-box covers and rotary sootblowers, external crossovers into the radiant section, transition hood, damper and open lined stack. Installation

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add fired-heater

Copies thermal/fired-heater.tsx and the shared lib/ into src/components/deck-twin/. Needs three, @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. See installation for the manual route.

Usage

import { Canvas } from '@react-three/fiber'
import { OrbitControls } from '@react-three/drei'
import { Stage } from './components/deck-twin/lib/stage'
import { FiredHeater } from './components/deck-twin/thermal/fired-heater'

export default function Scene() {
  return (
    <Canvas shadows camera={{ position: [8, 5, 9], fov: 35 }}>
      <Stage>
        <FiredHeater />
      </Stage>
      <OrbitControls makeDefault />
    </Canvas>
  )
}

P&ID

P&ID symbol for fired-heater

A box (radiant section) with a zig-zag process coil inside, burners drawn as small flames or triangles at the floor, a tapering convection section and a stack on top; the fuel gas line goes to the burners.

tag HISO 10628-2 / PIP PIC001 (furnace)

Zig-zag coil inside a firebox with burners = fired heater. An electric heater has a resistance element and a terminal box; a TEG reboiler is a horizontal capsule with a fire tube.

For agents

Machine-readable entry with props, ranges, defaults and ports:

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info fired-heater

Or fetch /r/fired-heater.json, or copy a ready-made instruction:

Add the Deck Twin "Fired heater (vertical cylindrical)" component to this project. Run `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add fired-heater` (it copies the file and the shared lib into src/components/deck-twin/), then `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info fired-heater` for its props, ranges and ports. Render <FiredHeater /> inside a React Three Fiber <Canvas shadows>, wrapped in <Stage> from src/components/deck-twin/lib/stage. Set props from my data (metres, NPS in inches, ASME class) and leave the rest at defaults. Install three, @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei and @types/three if they're missing.
