Printed-circuit heat exchanger (PCHE)

Compact diffusion-bonded heat exchanger: stacked chemically etched plates bonded into solid stainless core blocks (bond lines visible), blocks welded side by side, half-pipe headers welded over the channel openings with flanged nozzles (hot side on the ends, cold side on the face), blinded maintenance nozzles, lifting lugs and a bolted support frame. Typical for high-pressure gas cooling, dew-pointing and compression offshore.

Installation

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add printed-circuit-heat-exchanger

Copies thermal/printed-circuit-heat-exchanger.tsx and the shared lib/ into src/components/deck-twin/. Needs three, @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. See installation for the manual route.

Usage

import { Canvas } from '@react-three/fiber'
import { OrbitControls } from '@react-three/drei'
import { Stage } from './components/deck-twin/lib/stage'
import { PrintedCircuitHeatExchanger } from './components/deck-twin/thermal/printed-circuit-heat-exchanger'

export default function Scene() {
  return (
    <Canvas shadows camera={{ position: [8, 5, 9], fov: 35 }}>
      <Stage>
        <PrintedCircuitHeatExchanger />
      </Stage>
      <OrbitControls makeDefault />
    </Canvas>
  )
}

P&ID

P&ID symbol for printed-circuit-heat-exchanger

Usually a generic heat-exchanger box or rectangle with crossing flow lines and four nozzles (hot side on the ends, cold side on the faces), tagged E- and noted "PCHE" or "compact / diffusion-bonded".

tag Etag HXISO 10628-2 / PIP PIC001 (generic exchanger box); no specific PCHE symbol

There is no standard PCHE symbol: rely on the note or the datasheet. Common in gas dehydration, compression aftercooling and dew-point control where space is tight.

For agents

Machine-readable entry with props, ranges, defaults and ports:

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info printed-circuit-heat-exchanger

Or fetch /r/printed-circuit-heat-exchanger.json, or copy a ready-made instruction:

Add the Deck Twin "Printed-circuit heat exchanger (PCHE)" component to this project. Run `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add printed-circuit-heat-exchanger` (it copies the file and the shared lib into src/components/deck-twin/), then `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info printed-circuit-heat-exchanger` for its props, ranges and ports. Render <PrintedCircuitHeatExchanger /> inside a React Three Fiber <Canvas shadows>, wrapped in <Stage> from src/components/deck-twin/lib/stage. Set props from my data (metres, NPS in inches, ASME class) and leave the rest at defaults. Install three, @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei and @types/three if they're missing.
