Reflective beam smoke detector

Reflective optical beam smoke detector for large open volumes such as warehouses, turbine halls and module roofs. Transceiver head (lens, alignment LEDs, pan/tilt yoke with adjuster knobs) at one end, cube-corner prism reflector at the other (one prism up to 50 m, a 2 × 2 array beyond), facing each other along X across separation. The head is cabled to a low-level controller with signal display and status LEDs. On walls or stanchions; beam draws the IR path.

Installation

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add beam-smoke-detector

Copies safety/beam-smoke-detector.tsx and the shared lib/ into src/components/deck-twin/. Needs three, @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. See installation for the manual route.

Usage

import { Canvas } from '@react-three/fiber'
import { OrbitControls } from '@react-three/drei'
import { Stage } from './components/deck-twin/lib/stage'
import { BeamSmokeDetector } from './components/deck-twin/safety/beam-smoke-detector'

export default function Scene() {
  return (
    <Canvas shadows camera={{ position: [8, 5, 9], fov: 35 }}>
      <Stage>
        <BeamSmokeDetector />
      </Stage>
      <OrbitControls makeDefault />
    </Canvas>
  )
}

P&ID

P&ID symbol for beam-smoke-detector

A transceiver symbol at one end and a reflector (square with a cross) at the other, joined by a beam line (often double-headed or a pair of lines) across a large open space.

tag BSDtag SDF&G layout convention (NFPA 170 / ISO 7240-style plan symbols; legends vary by company); EN 54-12

Reflector at one end (no receiver electronics) = reflective beam smoke detector. A transmitter / receiver pair with a single beam on a process area is an open-path gas detector.

For agents

Machine-readable entry with props, ranges, defaults and ports:

$npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info beam-smoke-detector

Or fetch /r/beam-smoke-detector.json, or copy a ready-made instruction:

Add the Deck Twin "Reflective beam smoke detector" component to this project. Run `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add beam-smoke-detector` (it copies the file and the shared lib into src/components/deck-twin/), then `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info beam-smoke-detector` for its props, ranges and ports. Render <BeamSmokeDetector /> inside a React Three Fiber <Canvas shadows>, wrapped in <Stage> from src/components/deck-twin/lib/stage. Set props from my data (metres, NPS in inches, ASME class) and leave the rest at defaults. Install three, @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei and @types/three if they're missing.
