Open-path gas detector
Line-of-sight IR gas detector pair: transmitter and receiver heads (stainless barrel, yellow hood, lens window, alignment sight) on pan/tilt mounts, facing each other along X. separation sets the path between the two stanchions; the beam can be drawn for coverage studies.
Installation
Copies safety/open-path-gas-detector.tsx and the shared lib/ into src/components/deck-twin/. Needs three, @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. See installation for the manual route.
Usage
import { Canvas } from '@react-three/fiber'
import { OrbitControls } from '@react-three/drei'
import { Stage } from './components/deck-twin/lib/stage'
import { OpenPathGasDetector } from './components/deck-twin/safety/open-path-gas-detector'
export default function Scene() {
return (
<Canvas shadows camera={{ position: [8, 5, 9], fov: 35 }}>
<Stage>
<OpenPathGasDetector />
</Stage>
<OrbitControls makeDefault />
</Canvas>
)
}

P&ID
Two symbols, a transmitter and a receiver, at the two ends of a straight dashed beam line across the area, often labelled OGD with the path length and LEL·m set points.
The beam line between a pair of symbols is the clue; a single symbol with a cone is a flame detector. Some legends draw an arrow from transmitter to receiver.

For agents
Machine-readable entry with props, ranges, defaults and ports:
Or fetch /r/open-path-gas-detector.json, or copy a ready-made instruction:
Add the Deck Twin "Open-path gas detector" component to this project. Run `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz add open-path-gas-detector` (it copies the file and the shared lib into src/components/deck-twin/), then `npx -y https://decktwin.com/cli/deck-twin-0.2.2.tgz info open-path-gas-detector` for its props, ranges and ports. Render <OpenPathGasDetector /> inside a React Three Fiber <Canvas shadows>, wrapped in <Stage> from src/components/deck-twin/lib/stage. Set props from my data (metres, NPS in inches, ASME class) and leave the rest at defaults. Install three, @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei and @types/three if they're missing.
